Established under authorization of the Economic Development Corporations Act (1974 Public Act 338) MCL 125.1604
Articles of Incorporation amended by November 16, 1981 by Resolution No. R-480-11-81.
Purpose
To assist in the economic development of the City of Ann Arbor.
To issues tax-exempt bonds on behalf of private projects.
Special Qualifications for Appointment
Good business judgment.
Length of Terms
6 years
Members whose terms expire continue to serve until a successor is appointed.
Meeting Times and Frequency
This is a permanent entity that meets as required from time to time.
Membership/Committee Composition
Requirements are laid out in MCL 125.1604
Nine members, appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of City Council
No more than three members may be officers or employees of the City.
