How Established: By Resolution No. R-09-188 on May 18, 2009 Purpose: To work with staff to evaluate options for either sustaining the activities at the Senior Center in a financially-responsible manner or for providing that Seniors have reasonable access to activities at alternative sites. To examine options to increase revenue as well as potential cost reduction measures for services offered and operation of the Ann Arbor Senior Center. The alternative options considered and developed shall be presented to City Council in February 2010 and be considered for inclusion in the City Administrator's FY2011 budget proposal that will be presented to City Council in April 2010. Special Qualifications: See Membership/Committee Composition below. Meeting Times and Frequency: As determined by the task force. (The Task Force will expire in April 2010.) Membership/Committee Composition: 9 members: 2 Councilmembers, 1 Park Advisory Commission member, 2 current senior services experts, 2 Ann Arbor citizens with Senior Center Advisory board experience, 1 Burns Park neighbor and 2 at-large Senior Center patrons.
