PLEASE NOTE: THIS BOARD NO LONGER MEETS. How Established: Resolution R-239-6-02 adopted June 3, 2002. Purpose: To represent the senior residents, 55 years and older, by reviewing, evaluating and making recommendations to the Facility Supervisor of the Ann Arbor Senior Center, Park Advisory Commission and the Superintendent of Parks and Recreation to assure that the services, programs and activities represent the best interest of the senior citizen residents in Ann Arbor. PLEASE NOTE: THIS BOARD NO LONGER MEETS. Special Qualifications for Appointment: 10 senior residents, two members appointed from each ward; and 1 member from the professional community servicing or advocating on behalf of seniors in the greater Ann Arbror area. Length of Terms: The initial term of membership for the senior residents shall be 3 members serving 1-yr. terms, 3 members serving 2-yr. terms and 4 members serving 3-yr. terms. Thereafter, appointment to the board shall be for a regular term of 3 years. Professional community appointees shall serve a regular term of 3 yrs. Meeting Times and Frequency: To be determined Membership/Committee Composition: 10 senior residents, two members appointed from each ward; and 1 member from the professional community servicing or advocating on behalf of seniors in the greater Ann Arbor area.
